Social Action Film Series May 19th |
"Education Under Fire"
Sunday, May 19th at 5pm - Community RoomCo-sponsored by the Monmouth Center for World Religions & Ethical Thought and the UU Social Action Committee. Education Under Fire is a campaign developed to address the Iranian government's denial of the right to education for ideological and religious reasons. Beyond the goal of encouraging specific action in order to mitigate the effects of these policies in Iran, the campaign seeks to begin conversations on university campuses and within communities around the country in order to raise awareness of and shine a light on the importance of defending Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which guarantees education as an inalienable right of every human being. We are Marching!Sunday, June 2nd
Join us at this year's NJ Pride Celebration Parade. We will again be
sauntering, sashaying, smiling and waving our way through Asbury
Park on the not-too-long parade route. UUCMC has always had a great
turnout for the event and we hope to have another one this year!
