• Prepare and serve suppers for homeless families for the Family Promise project at Middletown United Methodist Church during the week of October 4.
• Help organize UUCMC volunteers in the Red Bank CROP Walk between now and October 18.
• Participate in CROP Walk October 18 (get a sponsor form in the Community Room on Sunday)
• Participate in the 7th Generation Project by looking at your home energy use and taking action to reduce your carbon footprint.
• Volunteer to serve lunch at the Kitchen at St. Mark's on the fourth Friday of the month.
• Help run a film presentation on global climate change on October 24, the International Day of Climate Action.
• Work on nuclear power safety concerns through letter-writing and petitions.
• Join the Social Action Committee where you can participate in planning and organizing upcoming events.
• Seek out timely information on an issue and update our bulletin boards.
• Organize an Action Alerts email list to push information on time-sensitive social action opportunities to people who opt-in to receive alerts.
• Become a Champion for an issue that you care about, and develop programs to educate and engage UUCMC.
