Covenant Groups – Second Tuesday, 10:30am Are you a working from home mom (or dad)? The Covenant Group that meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 10:30am. has a couple of openings. It's a wonderful opportunity for meaningful adult connection.
ZEN -- Wednesdays, 7pm The Lincroft Zen Sangha is a member of the Zen Peacemaker Sangha ( http://www.lincroftzen.org/ ), an interfaith community committed to actualizing the interconnectedness of life through social actions informed by the practice of zen. We meet every Wednesday at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. Please come at 6:30pm for meditation instruction. The group is led by Sensei Merle Kodo Boyd. "What's Your Point, Honey?" -- Tuesday, July 29, 7:30pm Sister Circle will be showing this new documentary on Tuesday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m. This film puts a new face on political leadership by introducing 7 possible young female contenders coming down the pipeline, while revealing inequities that still exist today. An excellent offering for people home from college and high school, as well as their older relatives. Lughnasa -- Thursday, July 31, 7pm Sister Circle invites all women to join them in celebrating the year's first harvest feast on Thursday, July 31. Altar creation will begin at 6, the ritual at 7, followed by a feast. Knitters -- July 18 & August 15 If you like to work with your hands and fiber, you will be welcomed by others in the East Room on July 18 and August 15 at 10 a.m. We knit and crochet for members of the congregation and for charities. “Thank God for Evolution” Workshop -- Tuesday, August 19, 7pm Follow-up workshop to August 17 Sunday Service by Michael Dowd, as he explores a timely topic in today’s world, “Thank God for Evolution.” Copies of Michael’s new book by the same title will be available at the workshop.
